Payment fraud stripped $44.3 billion from the global economy in 2024, according to Juniper Research. 'I lost money to fraud in a peer-to-peer transaction in 2021,' said Rodrigo Jimenez, Founder and CEO of Kustodia. 'I spent three years building the infrastructure that should have existed. **How it works — no app, no crypto knowledge needed**

AllScale partners with Bravo Rewards to bring stablecoin dining to over 450 restaurants in Vancouver

Cross-chain liquidity protocol Symbiosis has introduced support for Zcash (ZEC) and Monero (XMR), enabling decentralized swaps between privacy-focused cryptocurrencies and tokens across more than 60 blockchain networks.

The update provides users with a route to exchange ZEC and XMR for assets on networks including Ethereum, BNB Chain, Tron, Solana, and Bitcoin within a single transaction through the Symbiosis interface.

The architecture relies on a network of up to 100 relayer nodes and an MPC validator group of up to 15 participants, requiring a two-thirds majority to confirm transactions.

**Expanding cross-chain connectivity**

The addition of privacy-focused assets builds on Symbiosis’s broader effort to connect blockchain ecosystems that have traditionally operated in isolation.

In 2024, the protocol introduced native Bitcoin cross-chain functionality through its BTC Portal, enabling trust-minimized transfers without the use of wrapped tokens. According to the team, Bitcoin-related activity has since grown significantly.

Symbiosis has also expanded activity on Tron, where it has developed into a cross-chain liquidity hub, supported in part by ecosystem-level incentives aimed at reducing transaction costs.

Across all supported networks, the protocol reports more than $8 billion in cumulative volume, over 4 million transactions, and more than 780,000 unique wallets. In 2025, total volume reached $3.7 billion.

**Decentralized infrastructure and privacy-focused assets**

As centralized platforms continue to adjust their listings, decentralized infrastructure is increasingly being used to support assets with limited availability on traditional exchanges.

MEXC Integrates USD1 into Full-Spectrum Infrastructure for Global Users

Safe Foundation today announced the launch of Safenet Beta at EthCC in Cannes. For the first time, SAFE token holders can delegate to genesis validators and earn staking rewards for securing the network, marking the beginning of SAFE's evolution from a governance token into a network security asset.

Safenet is a decentralized transaction security network that enforces protocol-level security before a Safe transaction can execute. It replaces centralized warning systems and offchain heuristics with cryptographic attestations verified onchain. The network is designed to secure all value processed through Safe, a protocol that has processed over USD $1 trillion in cumulative transfers.

**How Safenet works**

When a transaction is proposed, independent validators evaluate it against a defined set of security rules. If the transaction satisfies those rules, Validators produce a cryptographic attestation. A Safe ‘Guard’ installed on the user’s Safe account verifies attestation onchain before execution. Without a valid attestation, the transaction does not proceed.

Users remain in full self-custody at all times. If a transaction does not satisfy the protocol's attestation requirements, but a user still decides to proceed, they can do so with explicit additional owner approval after a delay. The network is Byzantine Fault Tolerant, tolerating up to one-third of Validators acting dishonestly while still producing correct attestations. All attestations are publicly auditable via the Safenet transaction explorer.

- Static transaction checks that block the most common attack vectors. This includes unauthorized or unexpected code execution via so-called "delegate calls," installation of untrusted modules, and attempts to modify or bypass a Safe account's security settings

- A staking UI for SAFE holders to delegate to Validators

- A live transaction attestation explorer

Staking rewards are pending SafeDAO approval under SEP-55. Advanced checks, slashing, and fee-based rewards will follow in later phases.

MEXC Launches Mezo (MEZO) Airdrop+ Event with $50,000 in MEZO and 15,000 USDT in Rewards

Centrifuge, the open infrastructure for onchain asset management and tokenization, today released its Tokenization Outlook 2026 report at the Real-World Asset Summit in Cannes, based on a survey of 150 operators across issuance, distribution, liquidity, DeFi, infrastructure, and data.

The report finds a market that is moving faster than many of its public narratives. 86% of operators say scaling distribution for existing products matters more than launching new ones, pointing to a clear shift: issuance may have opened the market, but it is no longer seen as the main challenge to scale.

That shift is visible in how operators assess value. Tokenized Treasuries helped establish the category, but respondents do not see passive yield as the end state. When asked about the primary long-term use case for tokenization, 66% of operators chose product building blocks and collateral, compared with 9% who chose treasury management, suggesting the next phase of growth will be shaped less by issuance itself and more by what assets can do once onchain.

The findings also challenge some of the industry’s most familiar assumptions. Only 5% of respondents identify transparency as the biggest benefit of onchain finance, despite its prominence in market messaging. Instead, programmability ranks as the leading advantage today (24%) and is expected to grow further over the next two years (31%). In other words, operators are placing greater value on utility, flexibility, and financial functionality than on features increasingly viewed as table stakes.

The same pattern appears in how operators assess constraints. Almost no respondents cite technology or smart contract risk as a meaningful barrier, while 76% say regulation or liquidity are what still hold the market back. The implication is that tokenization is no longer primarily a technology story. It is increasingly a market structure, distribution, and investor confidence story.

That investor confidence gap comes through clearly in the data. While 44% cite regulation as the biggest barrier to scale, respondents do not rank regulators as the stakeholder whose confidence matters most. That distinction goes to end investors. The survey suggests the market is converging on a harder truth: adoption will depend not only on yield, but on whether that yield is paired with clear legal rights, reliable liquidity, and credible exit paths.

The report also reveals that where firms sit in the market shapes how they see its future. US-based operators are markedly more bullish than their European peers, with 79% projecting tokenized asset AUM above $150B by 2027, compared with 54% in Europe. Smaller firms also tend to show greater conviction in the market’s trajectory, while larger institutions are more measured. The result is not a lack of belief in tokenization, but a widening gap in how quickly different parts of the market expect it to scale.

Across asset classes, conviction is broadly distributed. Money markets lead, while stocks, ETFs, and commodities follow closely behind. Real estate stands out as the notable exception, trailing other categories by a wide margin and underscoring the continued difficulty of bringing physical, illiquid, and jurisdiction-bound assets onchain.

“The findings in the report show a market that is moving beyond issuance as the headline,” said Bhaji Illuminati, CEO & Co-Founder of Centrifuge Labs. “What matters now is whether tokenized assets can be used inside products, distributed through real channels, and supported by the liquidity and clarity investors need. Centrifuge’s role is to provide the infrastructure that makes that possible.”

That shift is already visible onchain. Earlier this year, JAAA began being deployed as leveraged collateral inside Aave Horizon, enabling institutional credit to be borrowed against, looped, and actively managed within a decentralized lending market.

Centrifuge releases Tokenization Outlook 2026: 86% of operators say scaling distribution matters more than launching new products
